Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2018 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 5,600 students named to the Spring 2018 Dean's List. Students enrolled at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute's 255th Commencement exercises on May 4 -5 2018, at the McCamish Pavilion.

More than 2,000 students earned bachelor's degrees from Georgia State University during the spring 2018 semester.

A record 1,240 degrees were awarded. That tops the 2017 record of 1,165. An estimated 250 students graduated with honors. In the seven commencement ceremonies, 33 different degree programs were recognized, including the first graduates in the Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Athletic Training, Master of Science in Respiratory Care, Master of Science in Health Informatics and Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration programs in the College of Health Sciences. Graduating students represented 28 states and seven other countries: United Kingdom, Malaysia, China, France, South Korea, Canada and Germany.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Oglethorpe University congratulates the 356 students named to the Spring 2018 Dean's List honoring those who achieved at least a 3.50 term grade-point average while earning 12 or more semester hours.

Welcome home, Bobcats! On Friday, June 8, 2018, Georgia College celebrates the newest students and their families as they attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program packed with opportunities for new students to connect with faculty in their intended major and become familiar with the campus as well as the array of academic and campus life programs available. Orientation allows new members of the Bobcat family to "take care of business" as they prepare for move-in.

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized more than 1,300 students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2018 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2018. Just six weeks after an EF-3 tornado devastated Jacksonville State University and its surrounding community, 724 students were awarded degrees at a special ceremony on Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium on May 4.

St. Lawrence University students have been awarded University Fellowships in order to conduct research along with a faculty mentor over the summer.

Dean's List Spring 2018

Berry College recently welcomed its newest class of graduates.

Each spring, Samford recognizes the outstanding contributions of student leaders at Leadership and Service Convocation. Four university awards are presented during this ceremony, as well as the Luke 2:52 Award, Shelton Community Service Awards and two Omicron Delta Kappa Awards.

The Alpha Eta National Honor Society promotes and recognizes significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of the Alpha Eta in March 1975.

More than 150 students of the Georgia State University College of Law were recognized for their achievements during the college's Honors Day celebrations this spring.

Approximately 1,183 students were eligible to walk in Coastal Carolina University's graduation exercises, held on campus at the HTC Student Recreation Center and Convocation Center in three separate ceremonies May 4-5.

The Georgia Southern University Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) is presenting its annual Form & Content Exhibition at the Center for Art & Theatre's University Gallery on the Statesboro Campus March 30 - April 6. "Form & Content" features Art Foundations-level student work from classes Drawing I, 2D Design, 3D Design and Digital Foundations. The exhibition was juried by Michael Marks, an associate professor at the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University. Winners were announced at a reception on March 30. Madison Pleasant was awarded First Place. Second Place was awarded to Brandon Narsing and Olivia Mainor received Third Place. Tanner Maxey received the Juror's Choice award. Morgan Carr and Peyton Butts each received Honorable Mentions. Kennesaw State University is being represented by nearly 100 students this week at the 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Edmond, Oklahoma. More than 4,000 students from 400 colleges and universities are presenting their research April 4-7 at the prestigious annual conference. With 93 students attending, Kennesaw State's number of participants is second only to the host institution, the University of Central Oklahoma.

More than 300 undergraduate students presented their research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) on Thursday, April 12. Students from a wide variety of disciplines shared their findings through oral presentations, posters, artistic displays and musical performances.
