University of North Georgia announces President's Lists for summer 2017
University of North Georgia President Bonita Jacobs recognizes students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the summer 2017 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

UA Students Pursue Cooperative Education With Corporations
Close to 300 University of Alabama students are receiving a hands-on educational experience at more than 60 companies and organizations through UA's Cooperative Education Program during summer 2017. In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student. The experience enhances the students' employment prospects after graduation. While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable on-the-job experience. Students maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation.

Thirty rising second-year students will join Georgia State University Law Review for the 2017-18 term. Georgia State Law students become members of Law Review by invitation, based on exceptional academic standing and performance in a rigorous writing competition. The submitted academic papers are graded by the executive board.

Welcome home, Bobcats! On Friday, July, 14, 2017, Georgia College celebrates the newest students and their families as they attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program packed with opportunities for new students to connect with faculty in their intended major and become familiar with the campus as well as the array of academic and campus life programs available. Orientation allows new members of the Bobcat family to "take care of business" as they prepare for move-in.
